The Eko digital stethoscope integrates seamlessly with the VCE™ platform, allowing high-quality audio streaming during virtual clinical sessions. This guide provides step-by-step instructions for setting up and using the Eko stethoscope on both desktop/laptop and mobile devices.
Requirements
Eko digital stethoscope
Laptop, PC, or mobile device for accessing the VCE™ platform
Bluetooth-enabled device
Eko app installed on your device
VCE™ app installed for mobile integration
Setup and usage for desktop/laptop
Download the companion application
Download the Eko companion application on your PC or laptop from the official Eko Devices website.
Run the setup wizard
Install and run the setup wizard on your device. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup until you reach the home screen of the application.
Power on the stethoscope
Turn on your Eko digital stethoscope by pressing the power toggle button. The indicator light should begin flashing, indicating that the device is on and charged.
Connect the stethoscope to the desktop application
Click on the “Eko Devices” button within the companion application to link the digital stethoscope.
Select the stethoscope from the list of available devices. Once connected, it will be displayed within the application.
Link the stethoscope to the VCE™ platform
Log in to the VCE™ platform on your laptop or PC.
During a VCE™ session, select the stethoscope as the audio input device in the session’s audio settings.
Ensure that the stethoscope is capturing and transmitting audio correctly.
Setup and usage for mobile
Download the necessary mobile applications
Install both the VCE™ App and the Eko App on your mobile device.
Link the mobile device to VCE™
Open the VCE™ app on your mobile device and select the option to scan a QR code.
In your VCE™ session on your desktop or laptop, navigate to the appropriate section to generate a QR code and scan it with your mobile device.
Broadcast mobile screen to VCE™
After scanning the QR code, your mobile device will prompt you to start recording or casting with the VCE™ platform.
Troubleshooting
Bluetooth connectivity: Ensure Bluetooth is enabled and the stethoscope is within range of the device.
App updates: Regularly update the Eko app and VCE™ app for smooth integration and optimal performance.
Audio quality: If audio quality issues arise, ensure the stethoscope is properly charged, and consider re-pairing the device with the app.
